As much of you Sony fanboys talk about the 360, at least they buy games for their system.
I can care less what you guys say. Blu-Ray, HD-DVD or DVD9. Not all people don't want to buy movies. Fact is, I regreat alot of times movies I wasted money on buying rather than renting. Would you buy a Uwe Boll Blu-Ray movie, just because it's Blu-Ray?!! I don't think so...
He basically stating that early adopters who have Blu-Ray players cannot have updates. The PS3 should not be the #1 Blu-Ray player on the market. The Blu-Ray camp should consider some type of incentive for the customers of early Blu-Ray players.
What has Sony won?! Blu-Ray?! Ok, now you must get the wheels turning for people to leave DVD9. Console war?! getting close, but far from victory. You fanboys kill me. Sony is a good company that has good products. But they're not the only one that has innovation for technology.
I don't get the part getting rid of my 360 for a PS3. I have both and a Wii. I traded all of my HD-DVD's for a 80gig PS3. Because of the tide shifted to Blu-Ray (and alot of my favorite movies are from WB), I converted. Now, the PS3 has a good line-up this year. But don't coun't out Microsoft's lineup this year also. I don't get how you Sony fanboys b1tch so much about Microsoft. You fast to talk about them, but say less words about Nintendo. No Blu-Ray, DVD playback or flashy features....
1080p HD movies on a HD libary thru satellite?! Price & marketing will be a key factor for this service to take off. Or another cable company takes this same idea first before they launch.

Microsoft's focus is multimeda worldwide. Looking at their coverege at CES, i'm impressed. People have to remember. Sony is a innovator of hardware. Microsoft is a innovator of software. Voice commands thu GPS on your cell phone, sharing movies thu the internet and wireless sharing of music thru Zune. Despite who you side with, give credit where credit is due. Both are good companies.
I was a strong HD-DVD supporter. I had over 40+ HD-DVD movies. But it kinda got to me that all the good movies that I wanted were on Blu-Ray. When I heard WB ran Blu, I ran with them. Yesterday, I went to Gamestop and traded all my HD-DVD movies and 360 add-on and got a 80gig PS3 for $35.00. Blu-Ray is the "only" way to go now. I'll start my Blu-Ray collection now. I just went to Gamestop and traded 40+ HD-DVD's plus the 360 add-on for a 80gig PS3 for $30.00. I hated to trade my movies in, but I don't ride boats that sink. Now I'll have to start my collection over. Oh, well... Like I said before, it's not over 'til the fat lady sings. And she just did.

Now Blu-Ray is next-gen, they need to lower the prices on their stand-alone players so movies can move faster. $300.00 is a fair price (IMO).
I was a supporter of HD-DVD. I have over 30 movies so far. It dosen't bother me none to convert to Blu-Ray since I'll be getting my PS3 within a couple of weeks. Right now, I can't stand watching "upconverted" DVD's. I'm just glad this war is over.

You do not have to wait for a movie to download 100% to start watching it. I rented Blades of Glory (720p HD) on Xbox Live and the movie started within 2 minutes start of download.
